The WB/DC Cinematic Universe Thread

^ Yeah TVD violence is cartoonist. I may have been grossed out once or twice but it was with Damon being Damon. :rommie:

I think we've also gotten several decaptations on The Originals.
I just realized I haven't posted in this thread yet.
I have been pretty impressed with a lot of the casting for the DC movies.
As for Viola Davis, I have no doubt she will be a great Waller. It will be interesting to compare her to Arrow's version of the character, which I have really liked so far. The one character we'll be getting two versions of that I'm most interested to compare will be The Flash.

Anyone they cast will have a hard time matching up to Grant. That really was inspired casting, despite how critical I was of it at the time. He's got Barry's personality down perfectly.

Part of me hopes they use West or Garrick for cinematic Flash, anyway.

I think the fact that Grant Gustin has done such a great job is why I am so curious. I think it would be easier to accept another Flash if Gustin wasn't knocking it out of the park.
Although it would be easier if they went with Wally West or one of the other Flashes.

Is there any word if the Suicide Squad movie will effect the usage of characters like Waller, Deadshot, etc on Arrow/Flash, similar to how Smallville, back in the day, had to stop using their Amanda Waller and call Flash Impulse?

If we can get two Flashes, I don't see why we couldn't have two Wallers, Deadshots, Deathstrokes, ect.

Hey, Will Smith and Margot Robbie just filmed a movie together! I saw the trailer for FOCUS in front of the Hobbit.

I saw something about that on one of the entertainment sites I frequent, but I never read the story or watched the trailer.

I'm interested in seeing the movie Boomerang. Its a hoot that both Spartacus actors are playing him. Jai Courtney is actually Australian, so the film version is more true to the comic.

Nick Tarabay is a great actor but his version of Harkness just seemed like Ashur lite/redux, especially in comparison with the other Spartacus actors on Arrow who aren't are so completely different (although Manu Bennett can still sound like Crixus at times, and his Australian accent comes and goes).

Why does there need to be a solo Affleck Batman movie? Batman has had more of his own films than any other comic book character--eight if you include the '66 film. And he has more than enough to do within the Snyderverse. I say wait ten-15 years and start Bats up again then. Everything will be better for it.

Not to mention the fact that if everyone else is getting a solo movie it only makes sense for Batman to too.

Maybe they plan to use Batman, the well-established property, to give a boost to other characters' movies.

I've actually wondered if Batman in this DCCU will be something like their equivalent of Nick Fury, turning up for important but guesting support roles to act as a bridge across the various movies.

That's how I think they should use him. It would be a better use of funds and probably more profitable in the long run.

The same goes for Black Widow, but she hasn't gotten a solo movie yet...

MCU wont give her a solo film. its harsh but its a reality. Hollywood has hardly produced successful action female heroes and I am not talking of hunger games.

After the failure if supergirl ,aeon flaux and Electra. MCU is not confident enough...YET.
