Now that I have finished the Latest Enterprise novel, I would like to re-read the other book that mentioned The Ware but for the life of me I can't remember which one it is. I think it is a Voyager book.

That's impossible, since I only coined the name "Ware" for the "Dead Stop" technology in Uncertain Logic. And I'm not aware of any other work of Trek Lit that's picked up on "Dead Stop."

hmmmmmm, I could have sworn I read about them in some other book. I want to say the Chekov was in it as an admiral and so was Uhura as an admiral in Startfleet intelligence.

This might be a stretch, but are you thinking of the Watraii from the Vulcan's Soul books? That's the only thing I can think of with Chekov as an admiral in it, and the names aren't entirely dissimilar, even if the concepts are.

No, the Ware and the Watraii are completely different races.

Well, yes, I know that. I was asking if they mixed up the names, and apparently they did. I know I've half-remembered two even more different things jumbled together before myself.

The Ware is not a "race" at all. It's a technology. As in hardware, software, firmware, malware.
