The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Joss started it and did well, but the [now de-canonized] Season 8 comics show he was an idea man that pulled things off under a budget and time restraints for BtVS. Marty Noxon and David Greenwalt can handle it without him, for example.

They already did that in 2019 with Christopher Robin.

And it was actually pretty great for what it was. Probably was better than any of their other live-action attempts. And by live-action, I mean that it was grounded via the humans in the story and served as an origin story. But what I didn't like so much was that it marginalized the Canadian involvement in the origin.

Um... isn't Christopher Robin a sequel to the older stuff and not an origin story?

To be fair, I could be confusing it with another related movie that released at around the same time playing with the same subject, but I'm pretty sure it's an origin story rather than a sequel. Well, other than the fact that it features an adult Christopher Robin. Either way, amazing movie.

Err, the origin story I was thinking about was Goodbye Christopher Robin. I had to look it up because it was bothering me.
