The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Hopefully we'll see some substantive character evolution over the elapsed time. Of course, all those things are what made JD so interesting and funny. They'll have to find something else if they think they have a chance.

Scott Free Productions is looking at turning other Ridley and Tony Scott movies into TV series.

Will not include Man on Fire as that is based on a novel (and was a Scott Glenn movie before a Denzel Washington movie) and Netflix already turned it into an upcoming series starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen ll.

I've watched a number of interviews with the cast, and part of what made "Scrubs" the show that it was, was it wasnt' a series of sets -- they actually used a real building, made it a giant set, and would lock out studios personnel so they could do what they wanted and get away with things that would never fly today. It was an alignment of stars and a cast that seemingly got on very well (for the most part). This just can't be re-captured, plus, seeing J.D. older but still being a hot mess with relationship issues, would be a huge disappointment.
I loved that about the show. Seeing Colin Hay just randomly singing Acoustic Men and Work songs during a scene. Rekindled my love for his music, if I'm being honest.

I had to go back and look. It's been many years since I've seen them. I forgot that he's actually in Three episodes, and apparently makes an appearance in Zach's movie Garden State.

I believe he plays overkill in the first episode he's in, but Not sure about the others. He's in these:
2.1,
7.2
8.19

He's currently touring with Ringo's All Starr Band.

Saw him with Ringo a few years ago. Great show. My wife and I saw his solo show last year and it was fantastic. Reworks of the old hits and lots of stories. He's incredibly funny.

He also tours with a band billed as "Men at Work" but with all different musicians.

Don't know if this has been mentioned - Michael B Jordan is remaking The Thomas Crown Affair with a predominantly African American cast.
