The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Amazon is in talks with Guy Ritchie to direct the second film. And after the controversy over the first film not being released in theaters, it will be released in theaters in 2026 with a different director. Road House 2 was not mentioned at Cinema Con. This means that Jack Ryan and Voltron films can also be released in theaters.

Russell Brand as the villain, based on previous experiences

The second wasn't as good as the first but I still liked it. Lord knows where they take the story next! :D

Maybe the killer will be the one who keeps living the same day over and over. He has to kill the female character that would be the hero in most horror movies or the day will keep repeating itself but she is smart and hard to kill, such as such characters are in horror movies. Also it's his birthday.

AMC is going to adapt a "different celebrated work, historical moment, or individual narrative celebrating and highlighting the American spirit" into a miniseries every year. First up is The Grapes of Wrath. I suppose the movie is too old for people who normally complain that Hollywood is running out of ideas. They probably wouldn't know it was also a novel.

A24 wants to remake Bloodsport, a movie "based on a true story" but it turned out Frank Dux was just full of crap.

That actually sounds like a good idea.
