The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Stephen King’s Cujo is to be filmed again. Perhaps the most surprising thing about this announcement is the lack of Mike Flanagan involvement! https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/stephen-king-cujo-remake-netflix-1236161363/
Is the Flanagan wave receding?
Mind you, there’s no writer or director *yet* so he could end up being involved after all!
The guy's deal with Netflix ended and he made a deal with Amazon. Oh, he's going to prime another Stephen King book Carrie's mini-series for Amazon. And there's the Dark Tower TV series, which doesn't know when or on which platform it'll air (it'll probably air on Prime Video). So, it might not work with Netflix due to its deal.

they can recast

I hope they don't recast that character. I would rather them just create a new character.
I think Keanu can convince him to act in the 5th movie, provided that he uses deepfakes in the action scenes. Many people here will object to this, but; he can sell his face and voice to the producers for 20-30 years, provided that it is used after his death and that his voice and face are only used in the John Wick series. It looks like the world will go there next.

Netflix are apparently chasing Daniel Craig for their Narnia movies. While it’s not known who he’d play, my best bet would be the voice of Aslan. IIRC, Sean Connery was once the first choice for the role last time out, before they plumped for another ageing, craggy action man in the form of Liam Neeson.

First teaser for Mike Flanagan’s ‘THE LIFE OF CHUCK, starring Tom Hiddleston, Mark Hamill, Matthew Lillard & Karen Gillian

In theaters this June.

Sounds like Young Guns III, written and directed by Emilio Estevez, is actually happening.

Everyone who didn't have an on-screen death in the first two movies has the potential to return.

Shouldn't the title be "Old Guns" by now?

Watching Disney's "Snow White" remake getting blasted from every direction. It's like watching a trainwreck in slow motion at this point. Wondering if it's going to break the "biggest bomb" record (currently held by "John Carter").
