Good movie.
Well, it moved me emotionally, had some good scenes and I enjoyed it.I hesitate to call anything directed by Brett Ratner "good."

If not good it's flirting hard with it.
I'll take your word for it.And The Family Man is the Rat trying to do Frank Capra so hard it hurts.
I think my edit and @The G-man’s post were more or less simultaneous. When I went back to edit my post, his wasn’t up yet and he would only have seen my original reply about rebooting this thread.Hey, guys, did you hear that Tim Burton is going to direct a remake of Attack of the Fifty-Foot Woman?
(Seriously, does anyone read threads before running in to post something?)
That ability to ape better directors sometimes allows for a decent, if unspectacular, movie. Family Man is such a film. Here's the thing about Ratner, even before he got outed as an absolutely vile sex monster: He's not a good director. He doesn't have a good eye. He has no actual style of his own.
What he does have, though, to a limited extent, is a knack for aping other directors' styles. X-Men: The Last Stand is trying to be purestrain Singer (though it largely fails at that). Red Dragon is straight-up mimicking Jonathan Demme on The Silence of the Lambs. Tower Heist is Soderbergh all the way down to Christophe Beck coming within inches of ripping off the score from Ocean's Eleven. And The Family Man is the Rat trying to do Frank Capra so hard it hurts.
Yep. It was basically what John Hiatt once called "Knucklehead Mindmeld."I think my edit and @The G-man’s post were more or less simultaneous. When I went back to edit my post, his wasn’t up yet and he would only have seen my original reply about rebooting this thread.
It's A Wonderful Life is getting a 21st Century update with an all black cast.
Hasn't been the same since he broke up with Johnny.Tim Burton To Direct Gillian Flynn-Scripted Reimagining Of ‘Attack Of The Fifty Foot Woman’ For Warner Bros
Who's his wife/girlfriend these days so I can know who's going to star in it?
Honestly, he and Depp needed to,separate. They were starting to reinforce their worst artistic tendencies, leading to things like Dark Shadows.Hasn't been the same since he broke up with Johnny.
Sheesh, relax man. If they had checked the thread just a few hours earlier, they would not have seen any thing. And if they were like me, as soon as they saw it on a feed (for me, often on a Google feed), they might have wanted to have a "scoop" and post it right away.Hey, guys, did you hear that Tim Burton is going to direct a remake of Attack of the Fifty-Foot Woman?

I'm really excited for this one.
Kevin Williamson’s tv production studio has, among other projects, adaptations of Rear Window and The Game in development.

Other reviews have it at a more realistic solid show with some flaws. One thing i can say is that it looks gorgeous and they have some awesome actors, Sanada as Toranaga is my main draw. I love the original show, have the book at home so i'm really looking forward to this.
I've never actually seen the original it was before my time. I really enjoyed the book though, except the ending, which I felt was abrupt.
