I'm surprisingly OK with both of these despite having fond childhood memories of their original series. Here's hoping they do a good job.

An Exorcist trilogy (via Blumhouse and Peacock) with Ellen Burstyn reprising her role from the original. Although they will not be a remake.

I'm actually looking forward to this new Chucky tv show that is a soft reboot but still in connection to the older movies.

It's been what, 4 years since the last reboot of this? Which I actually enjoyed, especially the first season.

Of all the actors that have played Gomez, Tim Curry is the one that looks the most like the original Chas Addams cartoon panels. At least he did when in full makeup and costume.

True. Sadly, that movie was so bad I turned it off after 10 minutes. And I *adore* Tim Curry!

I think that Eva Green could be a good Morticia

Oh yes. Though as they’re skewing a little older (Wednesday will be at university, for example) I suppose CJZ is more age appropriate to Guzman.

He tends to be the first one I think of when I think of Gomez.

Peacock is developing a Field of Dreams TV series.

Let me guess, it's an episodic procedural where Shoeless Joe helps an Iowa detective solve a case every week. And in season three, they get a mobile emitter that allows him to leave the baseball field.

Normally I would be aghast at the prospect of trying to turn Field of Dreams into a weekly series.

But with Michael Schur (The Good Place, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as writer and executive producer, I'm definitely curious, and maybe even a bit hopeful that this could be something good.
