The men of the Unit are on the hunt to find out who ordered the assasination of the President Elect, as they follow a scientist on a flight who may be the next target of the group. Things back at home are hectic as the women are allowed back on base, but not as the women you knew them as.

Wow, that hijacking was intense. And I want to know how to turn everyday objects like luggage into weapons!

If next week's preview is any indication, looks like these are all stand-alone episodes that tie into the larger plot, if that's even possible.

And Kim may be hot, but she was annoying as hell this episode.

This was the first time where the family stuff really, really annoyed me. Like, all the of the acting was excruciatingly bad and it seemed very pointless. Also, that spoiler about the wives didn't really happen?

The hijacking was cool, going back to the pilot episode in a way. I really liked the fact that the passengers were really expendable and that they weren't afraid to kill them off. If this was made back in the 90s, you know that everyone would be safe at the end of the episode... even the people who were shot would get "medical attention".

I also find it interesting that the terrorists really are all Americans. I honestly hope that it does pay off though and doesn't go into stupid Prison Break territory where it's some secret corporation trying to control the "New World Order" (tm) by controlling the Presidency.

I kind of wish that they also found a way to replace Hector. Having the girl around seems kind of pointless right now... and, she can't really deliver her lines either. That line about mothers in England during WW2? It was hamfisted writing, I'll give her that, but the delivery was also very off. If I heard that, I'd tell her to get over herself.

^^^ The fake National Guard guys last week were probably foreign, with the one guy referring to the US as "your country." It could be some sort of separatist group of Americans, but the implication to me was that they were foreign (possibly trained as infiltrators with American accents and cover stories).

Also, they left it up in the air whether the terrorists on the plane were tipped off from someone on the ground or if they just had a hunch that something was going on on the plane after the stewardess tried to open the cockpit and decided to divert. But Mac thought someone in the Mexican Special Forces unit had tipped off the hijackers.

The hijacking was intense, and it really shocked me when they killed the poor old lady in the bathroom. It's been a very good couple of episodes so far.

The whole thing with giving the wives new identities and numerous agents watching them is stupid though. Their natural inclination is going to be to rebel in that situation, and having to learn a new identity opens up the possibility of screwing up. They would have been better off sequestering them to their homes on base with protection and bringing in teachers for the kids. If it's a trust issue, they're already relying on agents they have to trust anyway, but in a much less secure location then on the base itself.

I don't care how much they support the lifestyle of the unit, I'd never forgive them if they kidnapped me and kept me away from my kids, and I'd want nothing more to do with them. This whole thing stretches credibility, especially since the kids are in danger themselves being out there with the elderly parents and minimal guard.

They did a real good job with that highjacking. I really enjoyed that ep over all. I hadn't watched the show in a while, but I'm glad I tuned in for this one.

I tried recording this on a Sunday. CBS screwed it up and Cold Case took up most of my recording.

Maybe the CIA is behind this assassination attempt of the President Elect? Watch it all come full circle to the end of season 2 and start of season 3.

I also agree on the story line for the wives, it really sucks and is taking from the rest of the show right now.

I have no doubt that the conspiracy is global, but the fact that there are people who are Americans or who look Americans and who, at least on first sight, not like terrorists on 24 who are doing it for money just seems intriguing at the moment.
