The trailers... a quick reflection.

I remember seeing the teaser trailer a year or two back and thinking 'Maybe there doing something'... then they released the first trailer, and as many did i thought paramount had lost the plot.

When the last trailer came out i thought it might be good, but was reluctant to draw any conclusions because sequel/prequels have a tendency to be pathetic (eg t4).

Yet now, i can watch the trailer and enjoy the entire movie, a quick fix, as you would say, until the dvd comes out.

Anyone else gone back to the trailers and reflected on this success, how did you see it before and after?

I was excited but apprehensive by the teaser (Enterprise under construction w/ voiceover at the end).

I thought the movie was going to blow based on the trailer with the boy Kirk.

I loved the final trailer, but assumed they put all the good shots in it. I didn't want to get my hopes up too high.

But my dreams of come true. Star Trek IS the best movie of the summer. Better than Wolverine. Better than T4. Will be better than Transformers and GI Joe.

Note: Best comedy - The Hangover.

I've gone back to see the first Under Construction teaser and the 3rd outstanding trailer a few times.
When I saw the teaser for the first time it was also when I really, really realized that "Damn, this is truly happening"

I think all the trailers for Star Trek were more or less good and managed to get me curious & excited about seeing the movie. I was never too sure about how it would be received by critics and the general public though.
I'm glad to see that things have gone even better than the most optimistic scenarios.

I was agog at all the trailers I saw; it was clear this was something fresh and exciting for a Trek movie. I could hardly believe Trek was being taken that seriously by Hollywood; but it was all true.

The only trailer I saw was the last one. I followed an online link from somewhere about a month before STXI opened. That's the first time I really thought they might pull this off.

I bookmarked the trailer and I watch the HD version every night just before I shut off the computer. It's my nightly fix
