The Toys That Made Us

I had a lot of first-gen GoBots yet no Transformers. And ironically enough they eventually became part of the Transformer franchise at some point.

And of course, in the prehistoric era before the Internet, the compilation of toy wish lists began with the arrival of the holiday catalogues from Sears, Pennys, and Montgomery Wards. Usually around the start of school, IIRC.
 
I also had the Secret Sam Attaché Case. Note that you can fire the gun while hidden in the case by pressing the trigger button in the center of case. The picture above is missing the camera in the missing hole. I think I lost all the pieces except for the case and the camera, then I lost that, too. I think my mom secretly threw the stuff away since I was shooting my sisters...
 
A member at Renderosity, a 3D gallery and merchant site (originally focusing upon Poser), made it possible for me to recapture a bit of nostalgia for Major Matt Mason. he created and shared some digital models based upon a few of the toys.

By analyzing how he created some texture sets enhanced by prop elements, I was able to adapt those techniques, applying to a personal character, Lt. Mzzkiti. (If my creative partner had lived and our old web comic continued, I think I would have dressed her in a Matt Mason styled spacesuit as an homage.)
