The TOS Sequel Episode That Never Happened....

Spock's Barber

Which TOS episode had you desperately wanting a sequel in order to continue the story and characters, or just simply to answer questions about what happened after the end credits rolled?

I thought that the interchange between Kirk and Spock at the end of "The Doomsday Machine" was a good setup for a followup episode, but of course it never came about.

Spock : "...I can't help wondering if there are any more of those weapons wandering around the universe."

Kirk : "Well, I certainly hope not. I found one quite sufficient."

My favorite episode, "Mirror, Mirror". Yeah, DS9 did some follow ups, and most recently Star Trek Continues did one, but it just wasn't the same.

What of Lazarus? What of Lazarus?

Yes, Lazarus sure got the shit end of the stick in that episode.

Kirk : "...How would it be? Trapped forever with a raging madman at your throat until time itself came to an stop. For all eternity. How would it be?"

Do you think the TNG novel Dark Mirror was a better follow-up?

I remember liking it more than the DS9 episodes as an MU story.

"The Alternative Factor" is hopelessly dumb. The entire UNIVERSE is at stake. If "sane" Lazarus were, in fact, sane, he'd just vaporize himself with a phaser and end the problem. Hell, the moment Kirk learned the truth, he shoulda just offed them both to be on the safe side.

Assignment: Earth, of course, with the further adventures of Gary Seven, Roberta Lincoln, and Isis.

^^ Agree.
I've also wondered if the Iotians ever showed up at the Federation Council looking for A Piece of the Action.

How did Morg and Eymorg society develop after their interaction with our heroes? :vulcan:
