Spoilers The thing in bay 12

Could someone please do some vertical friendly 4k beauty shots of the fat one? I need a new iPhone wallpaper :D

Great to see the Ent-D back, would be ironic if Jack opened up an opportunity for the Enterprise to strike, and Riker's last-ditch order for collision course against the cube was finally carried out.

It would tie in with this ...

History ... (albiet in a different reality) does not repeat itself ... but it often rhymes!

Here's a side-by-side comparison. They're darn close, but the deflector dish is slightly off. Too squared.

Sorry, but image tags don't seem to be working...

Huh, the original footage seems to have a more rectangular ring in the deflector.

I wouldn't have spent that much time debating the deflector, it's not the same stardrive anyway. Ships within a class have always been known for at least slight differences.

Turns out it was indeed intentional!

I have but one request for The Great Bird of the Galaxy:

For the series finale, please replace the Titan with the Enterprise-D in the animated STAR TREK pre-credits roll.

I’ve been a big fan of this little addition to each of the series ever since it started last year with the premiere episode of SNW. It would tickle me absolutely pink to see NCC-1701-D accorded this bit of franchise honor, even if it is only for one episode.

Come on Paramount+. You’ve done so well this season. Make it so!
THEY MADE IT SO!

I watched the finale with my best friends in the world (who I met over 30 years ago while standing in line to see Star Trek VI). Before the episode started, I told them that I had made a plea to the Great Bird to give us the opening is hoped for. I literally yelped with joy when the Enterprise-D carried the banner for the franchise. Hooray!!

I found the amount of wear and tear on the Saucer on her last trip out to be reasonable.

it was clear she had seen some shit

I remembered your post and actually thought of you when the D appeared. I was also quite happy with it.
