History ... (albiet in a different reality) does not repeat itself ... but it often rhymes!

Yeah, it’s higher resolution, but the TNGTM and Captain’s Chair CD-ROMs had more than four nodes.

I absolutely loved this. I really missed the Enteprise-D and it was great to see her in aciton once again. If this is how the TNG-Era ends, I, for one, am completely happy with it. A 10/10 from me. Well done to everyone involved.

Still looks like SF's most advanced starship after all these years. :)

She STILL looks contemporary, even after all these years. She’s like the Guggenheim or a Barcelona chair. Timeless design. Mr Probert was a genius.

    THEY MADE IT SO!

I watched the finale with my best friends in the world (who I met over 30 years ago while standing in line to see Star Trek VI). Before the episode started, I told them that I had made a plea to the Great Bird to give us the opening is hoped for. I literally yelped with joy when the Enterprise-D carried the banner for the franchise. Hooray!!

I found the amount of wear and tear on the Saucer on her last trip out to be reasonable.

it was clear she had seen some shit

I remembered your post and actually thought of you when the D appeared. I was also quite happy with it.

Reminds me of one of the key visual differences between the Enterprise NX-01 and the Columbia NX-02. I wonder if it was a deliberate callback to that too.

So that's how ships are made.
