Spoilers The thing in bay 12

In case the Ent-D doesn't get destroyed again and stays in service, it will be awkward to have two or three Enterprises around at the same time

Actually would love to see this happen, although it would have been the fanwankiest (is this a word?) thing you could do.
The fanwankiest thing we could do is have Worf captain the Defiant, picard Captain the D, Seven on Voyager, Riker on the Titan, Data on the Sutherland which is also for some unknown reason at the museum, - fielding an all-relic fleet against the Borg.

Let the awfulness begin!!!

It has been more or less confirmed that the Ent-F has been decomm'd by end of this series ... perhaps because they discovered that the old King is still alive so the incumbent King position is deemed illegitimate and therefore concedes the throne ...

Worf takes the A, and Riker takes the NX.. IN TO BATTLE!

Or there all on the NX, Picard in the captains seat, Geordi in Engineering, Worf Tactical, Data Science, Riker Coms, Troi Driving. ( God help us) Beverly.. Standing with the tricorder..

Wonder if the D has the Voyager ablative armour shell installed??

In this case, there will eventually be another E and F :guffaw:

But seriously, according to some spoilers for the finale,
the Titan will be rechristened to Enterprise-G, with Seven as its Captain
.

Usually early post episode articles don’t spoil that much. I still have the slim hope, that the leak was planned as a ruse by the studio.
If these spoilers are true, they already shot all the wad in episode 9.

What is important is the familiarity and knowledge the TNG crew possess with helming the Enterprise...

Bingo. It's telling that out of all the ships at the museum, the only one Geordi suggested as a potential alternative to the -D was one that wasn't there and (apparently) wasn't even existent, but on which the seven of them had also served together.

I didn't see a thread here about the restored D unless it's hidden. Thought I would put one up.

I am so happy shes back but concerned that shes going off to her doom. I hope not.
I think it's still a beautiful ship and looks even more elegant and sleek than a lot of the overly clunky and bulky ships like the F or Titan.

When those lights went on and she started to move out of the dock it was a sight to behold.

I hope the D will save the day.

My gut is telling me they will park the D at the empty ring where the Titan parked in Ep. 6 at the end of Ep.10.

“Everybody remember where we park!”

I like they went through the trouble of putting scorch marks on the hull and she still has what looks like dust and dirt from Veridian III. It's almost like the rest of the cast is older, with grey hair and wrinkles, and the Enterprise has her own "age marks" in a way.
