The Ten Doctors

Posted this elsewhere, thought I'd include it here.

I don't know if it's been mentioned, I just found it.

Watching Part 2 now and it's brilliantly done. Brilliantly brilliantly done. And he does a brilliant effect with a Sontaran taking off its helmet. Makes you wonder why RTD didn't do it.

Thought you guys would appreciate it.

It's like watching a whole new unseen series.

Sadly, only the first two parts seem to be up, but hey ho, the more views he gets, the sooner he might get it done.

Enjoy!

ETA: or perhaps his Time War trailer might be more to your taste?

You mean the bit were the helmet sort of folds back on itself? That's actually from the Sarah Jane Adventures.

Oh, and check out his 'Misinformation Guide'. It's hilarious!

^ Ah, haven't been watching SJA

As for the Misinformation Guide, That was damned funny!

Very good so far, only seen part one thus far. Though it makes me wonder why we haven't seen the BBC try a Trials and tribulations approach yet.

^ Most of the original series was shot on videotape -- resulting in much lower-quality video than appears in the new show, especially now that the new show is shot in HD.

The only way a Forrest Gump or "Trials and Tribble-ations" approach would work would be to artificially blur newly shot footage, which I doubt would sit well with most viewers.

good point, would that matter with the newer stuff, I'm assuming there isn't too much difference between say the 8th doc and the 11th?
Does this mean we won't be seeing such movies and shows in the future (as in even outside WHO)? Due to our new shooting techniques being too advanced?

Good question. As for the McGann movie, I suspect it was shot on film, but it would make little sense to Forrest Gump the new show with footage from the McGann story, since it featured so little footage of McGann as the Doctor. If McGann's Doctor were to be featured in the new show, it would make more sense to simply hire McGann as a guest star. It's "only" been 14 years since his movie, and we have no idea how old he looked when he regenerated into Eccleston's Doctor.

I was just using that as it seemed to be filmed on better quality than the old series but not on the same quality as the new.
Though I have always wanted to see the doctor running around hiding from himself so as to not pollute the time stream, perhaps without telling his current companion whop the guy with silly scarf is. Granted I just stole this plot from Trails but I still think it would be good and a good way to get a past doctor in without replacing the actor.

BabelColour is brilliant. I posted these in here about a month back, as it was the first time I'd seen those particular vids of his.

If one guy can accomplish this sitting in his living room/bedroom/whatever...
