I equate it to someone who's been slowly restoring a vintage car on their own, a little at a time, in the garage. Plus if all the ships there are either not cleared for Starfleet service or networked, why would the Borg bother the museum?
Unclear. Discovery and Glenn were framed as the sole testers of the experimental spore drive, but they never clarified that literally no others existed. I would assume there was at least a U.S.S. Crossfield, if only to see what the class could conventionally accomplish without spore drive. There were only two Crossfields though right? Discovery and her sister who bought it
I would accept that; I was more referring to how NX-class and Texas-class with no ships named 'NX' or 'Texas' are deviations which should not be repeated IMO.Keep in mind sometimes the namesake of a class isn’t built first. IRL the US navy’s Colorado class battleships were like that.
USS Maryland was the first of the class launched and commissioned, with Colorado coming second and West Virginia being third.
So Stargazer could truly have been the first Sagan class ship, despite Sagan herself coming after
I meant for the real-world staff and audience. And I still believe there had to have been a U.S.S. Crossfield which accomplished non-classified actions.Discovery and its class wouldn’t be commemorated because the former was classified.
That reminds me, I made an error. In 2384, Hologram Janeway shows the kids the great ships of the Federation, including a the NCC-1031.I meant for the real-world staff and audience. And I still believe there had to have been a U.S.S. Crossfield which accomplished non-classified actions.
Y'know, I'm really surprised that not only did they build a new TOS-style model for the Constitution-I-class at the expense of the DIS-SNW model but they also declined to stick any Walker-class or Crossfield-class samples in the Fleet Museum to stand in for the Shenzhou and the Discovery.
In fact, the Shenzhou wreckage was last known to be floating around in the graveyard from the Battle at the Binary Stars, so depicting it as having been recovered and towed back to the core worlds would have been a convenient way for PIC season 3 to repay DIS season 3 for using Admiral Picard's log file of Ambassador Spock. And I say that when I don't even like DIS's visual style that much.

Uh, no such thing happened in STO lore. Not sure where that Memory-Beta editor got that idea. The Shenzhou was indeed recovered from the battle site, refitted and returned to service in 2409.
Most people watching PIC wouldn't be nostalgic about the Pioneer Class either.Because nobody watching PIC would have any nostalgia for any DSC season 1 ships, not even the Discoprise.
They could have done the same with a Discovery design thenWell pioneer class was pretty much a blink and you'll miss it. Wasn't really highlighted.
Probably it's participation in the Klingon War.So if the Discovery was lost only a year after it was launched, and the spore drive was classified, one wonders why it was in any way noteworthy to be shown to the Prodigy kids along with the rest of the completely noteworthy ships. Unless PRO takes place in a different continuity than DSC does.
Probably it's participation in the Klingon War.
