Spoilers The Starfleet Museum

What ships will we see in the Starfleet Museum?

Geordi used his pull as a Commodore to have the refurbished Enterprise-D saucer attached to the stardrive of another Galaxy Class starship, so he could have the Enterprise-D on full display at the museum.

My guess. Someone with the desire and the means to make it happen. Worst that happens is I'm wrong.

Then this version of the Enterprise-D would be on display next to the Enterprise-A. '80s and early-'90s Star Trek from both mediums represented in one shot. Very Matalasian.

I don’t think the Ent-C will be there, but the prototype Ambassador built to Probert’s design to make it canon would be cool.

Will be nice to get the details of why the Enterprise-F is being retired, what was that battle?

While I would absolutely love for the NX refit to be made canon, the background posters seen in the background have the original design. Still, it would be really nice to see the ship anyway - I love anything that references the NX.

I would have assumed that the entire ship would have been given back to the Klingons after TUC. But perhaps they just didn’t care about it.
The Klingons have plenty and would problably not want a ship that had been defeated 'dishonourably' anyway.

Also the ship would be of interest to Starfleet Intelligence.

Find it absurd the Kilngons would allow starfleet to keep the Bounty's cloaking device.

By the 24th century, the Bounty's cloaking device was ridiculously outdated (and thoroughly analyzed by Starfleet).
Plus, the Klingons and the Federation are allies..., so the Federation probably told them about the Bounty at some point, but because of diplomatic relations or because the vessel and the crew had dishonoured themselves in the past (or both), they may have just said 'keep it and display it if you wish'.
Its also possible that Starfleet returned the (fully examined) cloaking device back to the Klingons who allowed SF to keep the ship itself for the museum... and who knows, perhaps Klingons inside the Federation have visited the fleet museum and have found the Bounty to be 'interesting' or amuzing if nothing else.

It's also possible that the Bounty's role in saving Earth from the Whale Probe, since it was the ship that time traveled back and forth, was also a consideration irrespective of its prior role at Genesis. I guess it depends on when it was fished out of the water, but I can imagine Starfleet Command wanting it keep it for that reason, and they came to an agreement with the Klingons based on that premise.

a B'Rel cloaking device does play a part this season, there's a diagram for one in the End credits.
Could just be as little as one being on display in the musuem.

At the time of ST:IV, UFP and the Klingon Empire were not allies.
I would surmise the Bounty was fished out of the water very quickly... probably just a simple pull with tractor beams from several shuttles, or just a starship that was already on the planet.
Its not a massive job.

The Federation probably informed the Klingons of the Bounty in their possession after ST:TUC... by this time, SF had more than ample opportunities to examine the cloaking device, and the Federation may have returned it to the Klingons as part of 'good will gesture', but requested to keep the ship in the Fleet Museum due to its role in saving Earth - and its possible the Klingons found this bit interesting as it would have sort of seem like the Federation owes their continued existence to the Klingons.

A PR service... it shows the Klingons in a good light I suppose.

Agreed

Question is what role will the cloaking device play in the season?

I suspect the Leads will use it to sneak into Frontier Day and disrupt whatever plot is going on.
