The Starfleet Country Music Awards

Has anyone noticed that The Country Music Awards is using a version of the Starfleet insignia?

Yeah - I just saw an ad on TV today for that show and noticed the very same thing.

I was wondering what was up with that. Does the symbol actually have some sort of meaning?

No idea. I do seem to recall people pointing it out last year or the year before, though.

It's just the top of their trophy. The trophy is symmetrical, but that would make for a boring logo. I don't think you can infer from this that the CMA producers are Trek fans.
