The soundtrack

Soooo... SFA has the most radically different soundtrack to any other Star Trek series. And I think it works perfectly, suits the mood and always fits the scene.

Thoughts?

I liked the the music. It’s Jeff Russo. Some of the pieces are incredibly beautiful.

Russo is okay, for streaming. He borrows more than Horner ever did, and he's not good at melody.

The SNW theme has grown on me, but in essence it's a TOS knockoff.

So, when he's doing callback shows like PIC and SNW he's in his comfort zone.

I was thinking more of Bear McCreary. I loved the Battlestar music. I haven’t listened to Russo without the show yet. James Horner brings back memories of the 80’s Trek movie decade. I liked him, but he borrowed from Prokofiev, in my opinion.
