The Shetland Class - The Last of the Daedalus Hulls

Shetlander

Ensign
Newbie
I've posted something along these lines before but I intend to finish this particular model. This is the Shetland Class, the last of the spherical primary hull designs to come out of the Martian Engineering Works. With a launch year of 2224, she represents the transitional lineage from the Daedalus era that ended in 2196 to the heavy cruisers of the Constitution class which launched in 2245. Consider this model about 25% finished and if anyone has any suggestions or comments, please reply below.

Oh HOW NOW! What’s this?! I love it! What kind of software are you using for modeling and rendering? Have you posted your work here before ? Is this your own design? So many questions…

I'm using Cinema 4D and its inbuilt engine. I've posted earlier attempts of the Shetland class but this is the one that will finally be finished and launched in a sense. It's my own design with nods to the Daedalus class and the vertical neck with angled back was inspired by the original Sean Hargreaves design of the Kelvinverse 1701-A as seen at the end of Star Trek Beyond.
