I hope they keep something similar to the original score.
ETA: So James Horner died last year.
That sucks.

It's a solid little adventure film and IMO has aged very well considering. Think of it as a slightly more kid friendly Indiana Jones. Is the original worth a blind buy? I've been wanting to watch it for years now but Netflix still doesn't offer it on Blu-ray so I've been holding off.
Depends on the price. I loved it when it came out, in particular for its throwback style. My 10 year old son loves it too and I like the fact I had no qualms about watching it with him. Plus, Jennifer Connelly is in it.Is the original worth a blind buy? I've been wanting to watch it for years now but Netflix still doesn't offer it on Blu-ray so I've been holding off.
Yeah, I do want to watch it again since I haven't seen it in an age and I'd like to give it another shot but I always wanted to like it more than I actually did. On paper, this seems like a movie I would just love but it never grabs me as much as I would like. The other films mentioned (Shadow, Phantom) are similar. However, I can't put my finger on why it didn't completely click. That's about right. All three were just... okay.
I'm willing to overlook any otherwise nonsensical reason they come up with if Jennifer Connelly can be in it.Even if they're to old to play the characters five years later, that doesn't mean we can't at least get cameos from some of the original cast members.
