The Real History of Science Fiction | BBC America

I've got the first episode on my DVR, would you say it's worth checking out?

I thought it was interesting and worth watching. Features some terrific footage of Asimov -- whose voice reminds me of Zoidberg, especially when pronouncing the word "robot."

Other than some interviews, it's not anything you probably haven't seen before or didn't already know. Its basically filler.

And actually it should be titled: The Real History of Science Fiction Movies and TV shows with Maybe The Occasional Mention of A Science Fiction Writer.

^Yep. It was OK entertainment, but it was little more than a clip show ("lets show clips of all our favorite movies!"). The only thing new I learned was that Huey, Dewey and Louie from Silent Running were performed by amputees. I always thought they were puppets or remote control machines. Pretty cool, that.
