Definitely. I get much less irritation these days, and my face just feels better. Plus, I actually like shaving with a DE, so it no longer feels like as much of a chore.

I get my razor stuff at Costco. Only use gel and blades - it would be very impractical for me to use electrics since I shave my head every day, and in the shower besides (plus, electrics hurt my skin).
As for printing? I do so little of it, I don't particularly need tons of ink. I do loves me that multifunction printer though. I probably scan and copy more than I print.

In the world of shaving? I use an electric and have never had any trouble. There's been one or two times where I wanted to get a good, close, smooth shave and have done the cream and razor thing but it's just too much work. The electric razor lets me shave in a fraction of the time hand-shaving would take.

Depending on where I shop, a pack of fusion blades costs me about $4.
Saw a large pack of fusion blades in Costco that worked out around $3 a blade just $56 or there abouts to start with.
On a slightly related work, back when I used to work at target the single most stolen item in the store were razor refills. In many stores they are locked up for that reason. I imagine people were making good money reselling them.

Yep. In my store we have special security tags around all of them (clear plastic boxes with sensors that set off the front door alarm if removed from the store).

Yes a friend who works in a supermarket has said the same thing.
They had some-one walk out of the store with $100's of blades in a cart because the stupid idiot at the check swallowed the line about leaving the wallet in the car. I would have fired her on the spot but I don't she paid the price.
As a late teenager and up to my early 20s i used one too but then discovered that a razor just gives me a better, smoother finish so i switched.

You know what... I'm used to at least keeping stubble because I HATE shaving, but I have to have silky smooth skin for work and I'm beginning to really hate having to get up even earlier every morning to butcher my face.
When was the last time you bought a new head (blades) for it? The cost for those on mine is almost the price of a new razor.

Again, I have to stress the advantages of a good double-edged safety razor. It's far cheaper once you get past the initial investment in the razor itself, and blades are dirt-cheap.
I use that razor trick (for my legs--I’m female) in between strokes, since shaving legs usually involves longer strokes than shaving a beard.
As for printers, we bought a laser printer for my law school work--MUCH cheaper than ink cartridges in the long haul. And a color cartridge printer for that more-limited use. And I use “economy b/w” setting for printing e-payment receipts and such. No sense in wasting ink for that stuff.
