HOLLYWOOD PARK
From the parking lot... folks can either go to the RIGHT and into the casino,
...or folks can go to the LEFT and to the race track. (Always my choice)
The airplanes landing at LAX fly directly over Hollywood Park.
Thoroughbred Horse Racing is my favorite sport and this past weekend I had the opportunity to meet
my ALL-TIME Sports Hero,
LAFFIT PINCAY, JR., on Hollywood Gold Cup Day @ Hollywood Park...
I was always counted among the smallest youngsters in my class,
and I dreamed of someday maybe becoming a jockey... but I eventually
grew out of that.
Laffit Pincay, Jr. ... he was indeed my Sports Hero growing up ... and yesterday I was a kid again
as I shook the hand of the greatest jockey 'ever rode a thoroughbred race horse!
