The Photoshop Thread, Part IV

And let's bring some ladies in the house again. :D

^ Heroes? Really?

I think it was one of the flashback episodes, where George Takei was made up to look quite a lot younger. Or that one where Hiro time travels and meets his mum.
I'm trying to think of what else Takei has been in.

George was credited for Heroes.
Mmm, there may be some confusion here. When I saw the Photoshopped image below, I assumed that Takei/Sulu was part of the original image.

Anybody recognize him?
Yep. Quite young there, in fact
My comment here referred to the guy in the captain's chair (or his head, at least) -- a very young-looking Burt Lancaster, unless I'm completely mistaken. That image had to have come from around 1950, if not even earlier. If it wasn't that which The Badger was talking about in connection with Heroes, then I apologize for the misunderstanding.

Ah, now I understand.
After Gary 7's original image, we got this response:

Of course. That's George Takai, who played Lt. Sulu.

Clearly a joke.
I had assumed, M'Sharak, that your comment, "Yep. Quite young there, in fact" was a continuation of that joke, as it followed sbk1234's post. I then tried to take this further, as the idea that some one would photoshop an image of George Takei into a scene in which he originally appeared amused me. Especially if it involved a lot of hard work to alter a picture of the older Takei to resemble his younger self.
It's just my absurd sense of humour, and I'm sorry for any confusion caused.

I thought M'Sharak was in on the joke too. Clearly we overestimated his capacity for humor. :vulcan:

That's brilliant photoshoping. I think his face comes from an episode of Heroes. It's amazing how you made him look so young.
Yep, that's Burt Lancaster. Thanks for the compliment, but there wasn't any 'de-aging' going on. Not that skilled yet. ;) I had trouble locating a young version of Burt... finally did, except there was a big "IMAGE" in white font stretched across his chin, so I had to perform a little reconstructive surgery. He still has a scar. ;)

The lighting was difficult to adjust (for me)... it's just so much easier to use other Star Trek screen caps versus ones from other movies & tv programs. More incentive to learn better techniques. I wouldn't doubt that there are Photoshop wizards out there who can take any head and convincingly put it on another body regardless of lighting and shading (assuming of course compatible resolution). That has to be a really fun skill! :D

Tachyon pointed me here and has ordered me to share a Picard/Crusher picture I had done a while back, so....

Thank you Gates!

That picture above is, hands down, THE BEST BonC fiddle I have ever seen! Such a beautiful pic.

Thank you very much, Tachyon and Misfit Toy. The originals were just begging to be put together.
