DANG! I wanted to do something like this to a photo of mine a couple of years ago. I never even came close to this. My poor attempt Geez, I must just blunder through only half-thinking about concepts.
Of the latter two, one looks as if it might have come from an architecture and design publication, possibly to do with airports. I'm trying to decide whether the item in question is one I've actually seen before (or which you've used before, perhaps?) or just reminds me of something else.
And the "bow" shaped building of that pair was inspired by a real life resort hotel in the nation of Dubai (where the BBC recorded the sand dune scenes from the last special "Planet of the Dead"). And now, a general question... Is this thread limited to images augmented with image editing tools like PhotoShop and similar suites, or can someone post digital "renders" as well? Sincerely, Bill
Aha. Haven't seen any of the Tennant ones yet, but it seems also that the moon/planet things in the background are from there, too. Edit: Now that you point it out, I recognize the Burj Al Arab, which imitates the shape of a sail.
Building, yes. Moons, no. I just used a generic "Jupiter with moon" pic. And as for the building on the left - if you Google for Zaha Hadid, you will find it as well as many other groovy buildings.
Okay, but it's pretty close. I did find many groovy buildings, some of them pretty fantastic in a mathematically-complex sort of way. The Performing Arts Center in Abu Dhabi is kind of a mind-bender. Didn't find the building you used, however, or at least not that view of it. Was I correct in remembering that you'd used that in another piece of 'shoppery?
I haven't used it before. Not to my knowledge, anyway. BTW - here's where I got the picture from - scroll down a wee bit to see it.
I see it. The "doorway through the ramp" detail in particular looks familiar, but I suppose this might not be the only example of such a thing. Looks like that would be a fun island to visit in a year or two, when all of those are finished.
I know I'm a bit behind, but that's just marvelouus. And I can't tell you how much I love this! Brilliant as always, ITL!
You got that right! I do loves me some weird and wondeful architecture. Thanks I might do some more 50's style B-movie posters. I find them very enjoyable to make.
This is just BEGGING for some photoshop fun... http://images.buycostumes.com/mgen/merchandiser/60259.jpg?zm=1200,1200,1,0,0
That was really, really disturbing! I scrolled up on this pic from the bottom. I'll never be able to look at Persis Khambata's legs again!
