Could somebody do a photo-manip of a Season 1 TNG Riker in one of the following

• TMP Dress Uniform: Shuttle-scene; rank stripes either as is, or changed to four stripes (Captain)
• TMP Dress Uniform: Uniform overlayed over a picture of Frakes; rank stripes either as is, or changed to four; pants either left as is, or changed to white (the idea was actually from Nu-Trek but I liked it)
• TWOK to TUC-era Uniform: Image either consisting of editing Frakes' head onto an existing picture, or overlaying the standard uniform onto a standing picture of Frakes; rank of Captain
• Season 1-2 TNG Uniform: Probably an existing image, but four pips instead of three -- He kind of had more of a Captain Kirk quality about him than did Captain Picard
• Season 1-2 TNG Uniform: As above but with the red-collar stripe retained, but a white shirt
• Early DS9/VOY Uniform: Either overlaying the uniform over a standing picture of Frakes; or simply adding his head onto an existing image; four-pips instead of three

Someone more informed/familiar with the situation should probably explain this and will likely do so in a better way than this, but the basic jist of it is that Google, which owns the company that generates the ads this site uses to generate it's income, cracked down on some of the more risque (according to them) content on the board last month. T'Bonz and the mods had to go around and clean up anything (avatars, pictures, threads, fan fic) that might be objectionable by the new standards Google dictated, otherwise they'd pull the ads and the board would be effectively shut down.

Considering the photoshopped image that was removed here, it's easy to see why it would have been problematic.

I'm sure there's a thread about it somewhere, but I can't seem to locate it at the moment, but that's the basic story.

I did this a long time ago, when I was still honing my (sadly, now atrophied) Photoshop skills. 2006 perhaps? Anyway, I've always liked it (or the idea behind it, anyway) despite it's obvious flaws and rough edges:

Well, that's odd. Just tell Google to screw off -- it's not their site.

It may not be their site, but they do own the company that runs the ads on this site and through which the daily operation of this site generates income (and thus pays for it).

No ads, no TrekBBS.

Nobody is saying Google isn't being ridiculously hypocritical here (because, really, they are) but their marching orders gave the staff here little choice. Telling them to "screw off" would do nothing but get the site ultimately shut down.
