I loved the book and remember liking the movie when I saw it, but it's been years.

Knowing you lot there nust be some other fans here.

The concept of starting out at the height you're going to be and growing down to the ground so your point of view never changes is still one of my all-time favorite ideas.

Thanks for posting this! I loved Phantom Tollbooth when I was a kid, and it would be great to show it to my own kids now. I think my son will enjoy it.

*spools up DVR* thanks, there was another animated movie, I don't remember much except that the main charater was an artist, there were some mushrooms, and the bad guy was the cactus king, who was defeated because he started to grow flowers >.> I only saw this once when i was a very little kid

Fuck loving it as a kid, Phantom Tollbooth is still one of my favorite books of all time. I didn't know there was a movie, though. I hope it's as great as the book.

I never read the book (at least, not properly - I think I read bits in school lbrary sessions), but the film entranced me when I was the age of kid it was meant to entrance.
I almost hope it never turns up on a channel I can esily get, so I can keep those memories without cynicism creeping in...

I enjoyed that as a kid... I had no idea it was a film. I hate I missed it.
