the Petrelli brothers, back in action!

Temis the Vorta

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
...as animated Iron Man and Wolverine.
Adrian Pasdar (Heroes, Castle, Profit) will lend his voice to the character of Tony Stark in IRON MAN, an all-new series which sees Stark travel to Japan and battle the evil Zodiac Organization.

Milo Ventimiglia (Gilmore Girls, Rocky Balboa, Heroes), takes on the title role in WOLVERINE, as Logan claws his way through Japan's criminal underworld.
Too bad it isn't live action. I'd pay real money to see Milo try to play Wolvie. :rommie: Pasdar, of course, would be a genuinely awesome Tony Stark. :bolian:

Heh, for a second there I thought of Heroes only as season 1, and how good it was.

Then the rest filled my memory and I realized just how far it fell. Damn.

At least they're playing superheroes this time people actually like :p

Oh, these are for the English dubs of the anime versions currently airing in Japan.

I thought Marvel had a policy of using Steve Blum as Wolverine's voice in everything these days. And Blum certainly has plenty of anime-dubbing experience. I guess they're making an exception. Ventimiglia strikes me as a bit of an odd choice for Wolverine.

Milo Ventimiglia doesn't seem like the right choice for Wolverine at all. If anything, Pasdar has the more gruff and deep sounding voice befitting the character. They should reverse the voice roles.

I dunno, I can't imagine Ventimiglia doing a good Tony Stark. I think Pasdar's a good choice for that character.

If Ventimiglia can get his voice deep enough (which apparently he can, considering he was chosen for the role), I can see him voicing a decent Wolverine.

I meant since they've already signed both of them, I could more easily see Ventimiglia voice Stark than I ever could see him voice Wolverine. Pasdar on the other hand can pull off the gruff Wolverine voice, I think. If it was opened up to a larger sample of voice talent than Ventimiglia wouldn't be in the running, IMO. Nothing against him, it's just that I don't find his voice all that notable.

I remember the old 80's stuff (Spider-Man/Amazing Friends and Pryde of the X-men) used to give him an Australian accent!

Even in the FOX X-Men cartoon, and X-Men Evolution, both made in Canada the guys who voiced him weren't Canadian!

90s X-Men: Cal Dodd (Irish)

X-Men EVO: Scott McNeill (Australian)

^I didn't know Dodd was Irish. His Wolverine had a pretty distinct Canadian accent. (Didn't know McNeill was Australian either.)

Yea, Milo as Wolverine could be a non-stop laugh-fest :rommie:

Don Francks, the guy who voiced Sabretooth, had a more distinctive Canadian accent to him. So did Silver Fox in her one episode appearance.

There's only one character he could play that would be even funnier.

Batman.

:rommie::rommie::rommie:
cuz then Milo makes sense if that Wolverine is drawn as a bishie.

I'm afraid to ask what that is... ;)

Short for bishounen, which is Japanese for "beautiful boy." It refers in this context to a manga/anime style rendering male characters in a glamorized, androgynously handsome way to appeal to female readers.

Judging from the screencaps here, I'd say that anime Wolverine is somewhat bishounen at that. I can see this character sounding like Milo Ventimiglia.

See, I knew the definition would be far less entertaining than what I could imagine...

Wolvie as a pretty boy? He needs to call his agent! :klingon:

The same agent who got a 6"2 Australian Musical Theater Actor to play him in live-action films?

yep thats what I figured, though actually he looks kinda like a very young version of Jackman's Wolverine.
