THE ORVILLE Season Two...

@Dayton Ward and @David Mack were my first thoughts. I know David Mack is known things like Destiny, but he did a comedic story for the New Frontier: No Limits short story anthology and it was hilarious.

I love Funko Pops, they're the one thing I actually collect, and I would be thrilled if they did The Orville.
Oh certainly, they're very talented! That said, I want the author who did Strangers from the Sky, and Dwellers In The Crucible. Is it obvious I'm a big fan? Yes. Yes it is.

I do have some limited experience with making comic book style scenes. On the action figure thread in MISC I've posted a few action figure comics. I'll link one here in a spoiler tag as it's my biggest one and It's all one large image.

This is all brilliant. It feels like a mix between "Robot Chicken" and a Comic Book. You really need to do a "Orville" story like this with a beginning, middle and end to the story.

Thank you, I was randomly thinking of the brig scene from STV and wanted to do some kind of humorous adventure. I was planning on doing Orville action figure comics too whenever action figures for it get around to being made. I have also used stills for comics. :D

I hope that the show manages to throw off the "Next Generation" taint in Season 2. Perhaps I would be able to respect it more if it did.

I mean, McFarlane has been a show runner for about twenty years now. I'm pretty sure he knows who he has to impress, and it isn't people on message boards who usually don't like his work anyway.
You have to have thicker skin than that to be in that industry.

I understand Funko Pops as much as I understand those fidget spinner things that were popular two years ago. I guess they are a collectors item, but more than that, I just don't get it. It is fun walking through the store and seeing what kind of Funko pops they have though.

That's basically the appeal. Funko has gotten hold of a lot of properties including those that don't typically get merchandising lines, and has given them Pops. In some cases, it's the closest thing you can get to merchandise for a particular movie/show.
They don't have those but they do have Trumpy Bears...https://gettrumpybear.com
Wow. Trumpy Bear is actually really adorable. And the commercial is total win.
