THE ORVILLE Season Three...

Speaking only for my family, not for us. It is our go to for watching network television, since it gets most NBC, ABC, Fox, and FX shows next day, and for us ad free. The only reason we now have "traditional" TV (even AT&T's service (who our apartment complex is locked in a contract with) is now streaming through an app) is because we had to take in my mother in law and she refuses to use a streaming model. She wants to sit and surf channels and will only watch whatever comes in that way. I've watched a few of the Hulu originals, but it isn't my primary use for the service. My biggest fear when Disney got control was they would eventually shut down the next day TV content.
Thanks for the clarification and insight. I only use Hulu for original content, a few old shows, and the occasional movie. I understand where your mother-in-law is coming from because I do kind of miss the old ritual of channel surfing and landing on a surprising discovery. That's an old habit to get away from.

Much like Barry We..., I mean @EnderAKH, we have the AT&T streaming and one actually can channel surf, which we sometimes do. It's not my favorite thing, but sometimes you get a pleasant surprise. :)

Star is country dependent. If a show is already contracted to another network or service, it is not aired on Star. So a lot of shows that air on Hulu the day after broadcast in the US are not on Star.

I'm so late to realize this, but Norm McDonald passed away last week and he played Yaphit. I wonder if they are going to recast or give Yaphit a heroic death. I think I will be fine either way.

i seem to understand that he died shortly after production wrapped, so I don’t think this will be addressed in season 3.

A little disappointing since I believe it was all old audio, but I do like the redesigned bridge.
Remember that Hulu was originally designed as a collaboration between the U.S. networks (or, rather, their respective corporations) to combat illegal video downloads and get a foothold in streaming. It slowly whittled down to being a Disney-owned entity.

At some point, they just need to merge Hulu and Disney+ and make Hulu the "adult" section of Disney+.

Isn't that what it essentially is now?
They do still have some stuff from non-Disney companies, so I'm not sure if they'd be allowed/want to add that stuff to a Disney branded service.

I'm looking forward to this! Hopefully, the season will be successful enough to warrant more seasons.

With it being called "The Orville: New Horizons", is it technically a new show within The Orville universe, or mere subtitling (like Enterprise becoming Star Trek: Enterprise)?

I wonder if they explain the new sets on the alternate timeline not being fully fixed. Maybe we will see other changes as well in terms of characters. Maybe Ed and Kelly are still married. The Kaylon design is a little different. The Mochlans have been kicked out of the Union because of their sexism.
