THE ORVILLE Season Three...

Sexual attraction isn't always a genetically perfect male standing by a genetically perfect female?

True, because there's no such thing as "Genetically Perfect," but there are such things as healthy diet, workouts and various forms of cosmetic surgery that can help one get as close as possible, and let's be honest: while physical attraction is not guaranteed to lead to marriage it's always been incredibly useful in the "meet and greet" stage of the relationship. You don't know any potential mate until you've spent time with him or her, and absent a set-up from a friend or relative, what do you think makes one want to start things off?

How is she seen by many to be in a different "league" to him or vice-versa?

Here's my theory: whether it's conscious or not, every person carries two ideal images in their head, their own ideal appearance and the appearance of their ideal mate, and those of us who identify with Scott measure his appearance against our self-ideals and Adrianne's against our ideal mates and find she's closer to goal than him. In terms of "league" he's Triple-A and she's the Majors, and he got called up for a couple of months. Good for him.

Pirating was never going down. People will always want something for nothing, regardless of how much they like it.

People complained when it was all on cable and wanted to "cord cut." Now people are complaining that they have options.

It's not complaining about options.
It's that they give it to people here,
Then
Poof,
Take it away.

Nature of the business. I know many complained about Netflix and their prices going up but people still buy Netflix.

Sad but true part of business.
:sigh:
Not me, I've never bought Netflix after the price went up.
But then again, I never bought Netflix ever
So, there ya go.

It's still the nature of the business. Companies are moving towards streaming platforms, and I'm guessing Hulu offered a decent price to Fox. So, there you go.

Still sucks, I guess, though I was already streaming it and paying for it by slogging through commercials. So, either way, they get me.

The first issue of the comic came out last week, anybody read it yet?
Yes, and it's pretty good as far as comic-book tie ins go. The art is good and the characters actually look right, which is a rare thing. Characterization and dialogue are good. The plot is just the set up, so we need to see part two to find out how it holds together. Overall, I was pleased with it.

Got my comic today and I adore it. The pictures are stunning, and the faces convey really emotion. It's like watching an episode, the next best thing. I already saw a spoilerish picture from the second part, about Ed and Gordon on the planet, and I can't wait to find out what happened.

I checked out the first Orville comic issue. I thought it was good and left me interested to find out what happens next. I thought the artwork was good and the writing got the feel and tone of the show for the most part, though it had a lighter touch than the show has sometimes when it comes to the humor.

I used to love to buy monthly comics, but issues anymore are so thread bare that it is just better to wait and pick up the collections.
I've come around this way of thinking is well. Besides, so many of the comics that I buy are on impulse, and after a few issues of story, I lose interest. And if I'm still anxious to read something by the time it comes out and collected form, then it's probably something that will maintain my interest and be worth the price.

Since it's a finite miniseries I'm definitely just waiting for the digital collection. I don't follow any monthly comics on a regular basis, I just get the occasional collection, but if this was ongoing I'd seriously consider making it the first.

For me it's basically a matter of convenience. t became more convenient for me to wait and get the trade paperback anthologies, so that's what I do.

I generally just buy collections and archives these days, but I decided to pick up Orville just to show them right off the bat that there is interest.
