Sexual attraction isn't always a genetically perfect male standing by a genetically perfect female?
True, because there's no such thing as "Genetically Perfect," but there are such things as healthy diet, workouts and various forms of cosmetic surgery that can help one get as close as possible, and let's be honest: while physical attraction is not guaranteed to lead to marriage it's always been incredibly useful in the "meet and greet" stage of the relationship. You don't know any potential mate until you've spent time with him or her, and absent a set-up from a friend or relative, what do you think makes one want to start things off?
How is she seen by many to be in a different "league" to him or vice-versa?
Here's my theory: whether it's conscious or not, every person carries two ideal images in their head, their own ideal appearance and the appearance of their ideal mate, and those of us who identify with Scott measure his appearance against our self-ideals and Adrianne's against our ideal mates and find she's closer to goal than him. In terms of "league" he's Triple-A and she's the Majors, and he got called up for a couple of months. Good for him.
