THE ORVILLE Season Three...

NBC Universal is a part-owner of Hulu as well, so yeah, Orville is fine there. Pehaps this new deal has something to do with The Orville season 3 happening.

Well reading the article the deal with NBC doesn’t affect MacFarlane’s currently running stuff with Fox.

I hope that Western episode isn't a sim-deck video game. I'd rather it be a prime example of Wojohowicz's Theory of Parallel Planetary Cultural Development or something. :rommie:

Does Disney own the other part? I assumed Disney owned all of Hulu. I got to say these corporate tv deals are getting harder to follow.

The 2 companies have entered into an agreement where Disney has assumed full control of Hulu, with the intent to buy out Comcast/NBC-U's stake at a later date. This way, Comcast gets to continue to share in whatever profits Hulu generates, and Disney can put off adding more debt to their ledger after swallowing Fox' entertainment assets.

Fairly ST:TNG, wouldn't you say? They had a rotating cast between Wesley and Ro.
That doesn't compare at all. Ro wasn't in the main cast, and she only had something like eight appearances. And the "rotating cast" between her and Wesley consisted of two speaking roles. For that matter, I don't think Orville has had a speaking navigator since John went to engineering.

A relatively small but important company involved with the show received notice today. Doesn't mean Season 4 won't happen, but means the studio is not considering it right now. Expected.

Hulu annoys me as I watch it through the iTunes season pass. Can't get Hulu over here, unless I VPN it which will be annoying.

Damn, if it ends with season 3 I hope they storylines and the last episode fit a series finale with not too many open questions.

The Orville is an open-ended series of adventures, not a serial. There are no "open questions" as such.

  • Yep, they may or may not still be fighting the Kaylons at the end.
  • Yep. Ed and Kelly may or may not be together at the end.
  • Yep, The Moclans may never get their shit together.

Well, good then - leaves all that territory open for future adventures in one form or another.

Also, there's absolutely no reason to think right now that the show is ending.

Wasn't there another show about a starship and its crew that was cancelled after three seasons? Whatever happened to that?

Would be a pain if the series got cancelled before even the Eaglemoss starship collection for the series has started.
