Nothing wrong with wanting to see androids act like androids and aliens act like aliens. Last I checked this was a sci fi show.
I liked the episode. I was sure this was when we would see Bortus with the mustache because it made me think of a porn stache. I also found it very moving when talked about how he hasn't gotten over whay Kylden did to their child. The porn stuff was fun especially the penis alien who gave him the program but they didn't overdo it and make it full of bad cliche jokes. I still do wonder why the penis alien is working on the ship. You think he would get in just as much trouble as Bortus for giving him the porn video made by his friend.

Why should they do that - they don't on shows like, oh, Star Trek.
Characters in fiction are, by necessity, human. You can give them funny looks, odd customs and even peculiar motivation; they remain human.
No one would watch a fiction TV series that wasn't about people.
That's what happened.....
I didn't think having an alien character suffering from a porn addiction and seeking out harder porn as very alien.
The episode was certainly better than the season premiere. The season premiere had so many scenes were it appeared where the shots used were second takes after the actors and actresses only having been awake for tow hours. And that's among other problems.
While better, it still had it's problems. For example: some bland almost Calculon-level acting from the leader of the people on the planet (as well as poorly written lines) as well as a badly delivered line from Kelly. And for a planet that's crumbling and there's barely any time left, where was the sense or urgency from Isaac and Bortus? They just walk over, have time to look over there heads, chat time in a cave, stand around trying to figure out who should survive, etc.
And for a ship that when hit by a Trill weapon had it's U-nacelles broken into many tiny pieces, it's remarkable how they had no damage I could discern when escaping the sun. And there was damage on the rest of the ship.

Hey, now I want to see a species as singlemindedly devoted to walking as the Vulcans are devoted to emotional repression, Klingons to fighting and Tellerites to arguing.
Who cares. What's important is it if works, and it did.
If anything, it made Bortus and his life partner more real to the viewers and problem for some viewers something they could relate to. It also commentary on life and problems, which is something good science fiction should do.

I think you are overthinking this. It's not very logical to believe that Humans are the only species out there that does sex for pleasure.....
The general "who cares?"; nobody is coming here to ask each user if they care.

Well it wasn't really about sex for pleasure. It was more pass up on real sex for porn and then harder porn. The porn involving a prisoner/captor, doctor/patient, mass orgy fantasy.
How much more human do you want it?

No matter what world they come from, any sentient species that copulates, and goes through some kind of relationship that involves love, they should be capable of fantasies. Without having dreams, creativity, desires, they wouldn't be able to function, contribute to their societies, all that.
However, I'd agree that the simulator programs resembles Earth too much. They should have gone with industrial scenes, like the Moclan homeworld appears to be...

Why does pornography only belong to humans? Looking to the animal kingdom, there is evidence that any creature that evolves enough to where they can be aroused likes to stimulate their own sexual organs without a sexual partner.
In all honesty, it sounds like you want creatures that are alien by your standards, rather than what we might encounter in reality, and you're laying that against The Orville for not predicting your wants precisely.
You've kinda answered your own question there. Animals sexually stimulate themselves without pornography.
