The Orville. Anyone loving it?

Nowadays, there's small kids of friends and relatives who've I've heard make Jew jokes and, big surprise, they're fans of Southpark and Family Guy.
Which is why neither "South Park" nor "Family Guy" airs on channels or timeframes aimed at children. Those shows aren't for small children. They're not aired on Nickelodon or Cartoon Network, they're aired on adult channels during times when kids should be eating dinner or in bed.

"South Park" itself has tackled this issue several times, including in its movie. It's not the TV's job to raise your kids, and if you're careless enough to let your kid spend dinner time watching "Family Guy" and stay up past eight to watch "South Park," you're an irresponsible parent.

I may have some bias being Jewish and having loves both shows in high school. But I guarantee you, if I heard a 9-year-old parroting Carmen's antisemitism, I'd be judging the kid's parents, and no one else.

Could anyone else not help but laugh a little when the kids were abusing K1?
Awful as that was, I'm afraid it reminded me of how my sister and I used to torment Wiggins the Book Worm. "Wiggins" was a computer game in the 90s. In one segment, you could make Wiggibs take a sip of soda from a straw by clicking the mouse. If you held the mouse down, he'd slurp until you released the button, or he puked. We would gorge poor Wiggins over and over, because his barf was a different color every time.

Did we ever get a confirmation either way on season 4? I know it's up in limbo but I thought we'd have heard something either way by now.
With how slowly the show itself moves, is this any surprise?

Not nearly as slow as a lot of the other shows I watch with season spanning storylines. *shrugs* to each their own. I actually though that some episode plots from this season felt really rushed with everything else going on in the episodes.

Touche. "Discovery" is also torturously slow, stretching what should be single episodes or two-parters at most across a season, and padding it out with long discussions about how Saru's fart on the bridge that morning makes everyone feel.

"Orville" at least is episodic. But every other scene just feels more drawn out than the extended "Lord of the Rings." I feel like if Seth McFarland had written say, "Nemesis," we'd get 19 minutes of Troi and Riker's nude wedding, followed by Data singing the full song "Blue Skies" uninterrupted; close-ups of Worf slowly registering a threat or offense before finally acting; and 27 minutes of Picard's uncut eulogy to Data at the end.
