The One Guest Star You Wish They Had

The one I was hoping for was Dean Stockwell, for a little Quantum Leap reunion. Then once they completely blew that opportunity, I stopped wishing. My original hope was that they could have gotten him as a Q and at first anyway, only Archer could see him. Fanboyish? Perhaps, but it still would have been cute.

He was on the show in Season One's Detained, wasn't he?
Unfortunately, that was EnsignRicky's (legitimate, IMO) point.

If they were going to do "fanwank" casting for an episode of ENT, at least make the Bakula/Stockwell reunion fun! Not some nasty bit where Stockwell's character abuses everybody in sight... Lost opportunity... sad.
This is the same franchise that blew the team up between Shatner and Stewart, so go figure...

Stockwell should have returned as Colonel Grat at least one more time by Season 4. The whole Tandaran/Suliban conflict seemed ripe for further exploration.

I would have liked to see Mandy Patinkin - maybe as some arrogant human diplomat screwing up a conference due to his unbearable behaviour or as Dr. Soong instead of Brent Spiner (although Brent Spiner did fine - it's just a little odd that he plays all known male family members of the Soong-Clan).
Hugh Laurie would have been nice as well.

Two good choices, and having Mandy Patinkin as an unbearable diplomat sounds right up his alley. (I loved him in Dead Like Me.)

Actually, I would love to see Patinkin as lead in a future Trek-series. Unfortunately, that will never happen (I think he's just not interested in stuff like Trek).

Thinking of it, Jennifer Morrison from House would have been good, too.
