The Ocampa lung in Tuvix

I just noticed they failed to remember the Ocampa lung inside Neelix. While the isotope could have attached to the Vulcan DNA, it doesn't really take away the issue of Neelix getting back with one Ocampa lung...

Tuvix also should have exhibited some Ocampa traits.

But again, maybe they did remember. They did use three flowers for each test.

I suspect the modifications the Vidians did before implanting the lung into Neelix removed any/all Ocampan characteristics to assure the lung would work with Neelix's physiology and that his body would not reject it.

Or you had changes and just didn't see it. Perhaps Tuvix would have died in 7 years if he wasn't savagely murdered by Janeway and instead died from natural causes.
