I was in the orchestra pit in a production of Fiddler on the Roof, once, but I must say I'm not a fan. The very best musical I have ever seen live without a doubt was Hedwig and the Angry Inch off-Broadway. Hot damn. John Cameron Mitchel is the most talented man in the universe.
HSM is about fun, that's why I like it. It's perfectly aware of how bad it is, and aware that it's audience is also aware of how bad it is. It embraces it's ridiculousness and encourages the viewer to do so as well.

I've been watching a lot of Cartoon Network during the middle of the day, and they show lots of toy commercials. There's a new Sleep Beauty Barbie whose dress changes color when she holds each of the Fairies in her hand. I thought it was funny.
