I have only once in my life owned more than one pair of shoes. During this time, I only ever wore the one pair, forget that I owned the other one, and eventually lost them. Lesson learned: more than one pair is redundant.

I only have three pairs of shoes (my blue converse's, some brown skate shoes, and some work/winter boots), but I'd definitely have a lot more if I could afford them.

 

Ah, at last! Intelligence is apparent.
I'll confess to the stage where I actually plan the footwear first and work around that....

Oh and as for Italian leather *drools*. Just an aside but do you smell it before you buy it? Some people may not understand

 

Having only one pair of shoes is like only ever eating one meal.

And if they're not even leather shoes, that's like eating the gross veggie burger at McDonalds all the time as your only meal.
