The Night Crew

If I know I have to wake up early, I can't fall asleep within a reasonable time. Ever. Usually I'm just laying there hours after I tried to go to sleep. :(

I'm here! Back on a bad schedule and all.

My roommates and I just collaborated on creating a birthday party event on facebook for the girl that lives on our couch (she's actually a good friend but I think it's funnier to refer to her that way).

The party's called, "The quick brown fox got drunk at my lazy party"

I even invited doubleohfive

Anybody else who happens to be in Montreal on Sept 20th is also invited. :techman:

This thread is dying a slow death.

Never!

What's everybody else doing right now? I've busted out my Trek movie DVDs and am watching TWOK; last night, I forced myself to re-watch TMP, and was surprised that I enjoyed several aspects of the film more than I remembered. Now to cut out about 35 minutes of runtime...

I'm tryin to figure out how to compress my ripped dvds properly so I can store them on my harddrive and stream them to my xbox.

Every compression i've done winds up shitty :(

^I've been doing the same with my photo albums, trying to transfer them to my PS3. It works fine, but some of the albums will random decide to delete themselves. It's weird.

Also, the Doctor Who DVDs that my friend bought me in China do not work on my PS3, nor do they work on any of my previous DVD players. It's annoying, but I guess this is what I should expect from bootlegs.

I did, however, watch an episode of Farscape tonight, and I must say, it looks gorgeous on my HDTV with the HDMI upconvert on my PS3.

I have a bunch of DVDs I don't intend to keep because I'm just going to flip them for store credit so I can buy Blu-Ray titles. A lot of them are crap, but I'm watching them anyway. I just watched The Golden Compass. Boy was that a stupid movie. The effects were good (though not Oscar-worthy), but the scenes felt incomplete and out-of-place, and you NEVER EVER have a non-ending to set up a sequel if you don't even know if there will be a sequel.

And considering the last two DVDs I watched were Fantastic Four 2 and Jumper, Compass wouldn't have had to do much to meet my already-low expectations.

I am contemplating the idea of sleep, but I kind of want to take a shower first.

And my cat is trying to eat my surge protector...

I just want this to work right so I can eventually have all my dvds on my computer and just flip through menus on my 360 to watch movies and not have to actually handle the discs and all.

I got the notification on my Blackberry while I was having coffee after seeing The Dark Knight again tonight... Literally looked at it and said to myself, "Only Philo..."

You know if I was in town I'd be there. Throw a few back for me, willya?

Well if you're just tossing them, feel free to fling that Compass DVD in my direction. :p

I suppose that would be quite... shocking? *Dr. Evil pinky*
