The new Post Your Desktop thread

^ Go to the Start menu (windows icon) > click All Programs > scroll down and right click on the program(s) whose icon(s) you want on the desktop > hover over Send To until the side menu opens > click Desktop (create shortcut). The icon for that program will then appear on your desktop.

If you just mean the default Windows icons (my computer, network, recycle bin, etc.), just right click on an empty part of your screen > click Personalize > click Change Desktop Icons > select which icons you want to restore > and then click Restore Default.

I have tried that already. Thanks for the tip, though. I've also tried various 'Cmd' commands and system restore. The icons are there, they are present when i check the desktop via Windows Explorer, but not on the actual desktop.

I'm gotta reformat the C: partition soon, because I'm losing my patience. and i never had much of that to begin with...

Ooh, me likey.

The art style almost looks familiar, but I can't place it – who drew that?

I wish I knew. I did know at one time, but I've since forgotten.

EDIT: I did a little digging around and found out the artist's name is Samantha Robinson, and the work is called "As Nature Sleeps".

The full-size version of that image is 400x2250 pixels, though, so unless you're running CNN's monitor from The Situation Room, I bet it's fine.

And, yes, I know you said "most", but I've been up all night and will not pass up the opportunity for some snark, dammit.

And what if I am running CNN's monitor from the situation room? That thing could use a little personality, dammit!

And what if I am running CNN's monitor from the situation room?

Then you need to start putting Trek images on it. I want the Sombreroprise behind Wolf Blizter on at least two broadcasts. Clear?

BTW, I would post my desktop to be on-topic, but it contains so much nudity that I'd have to basically censor the whole thing. Sooooooo much nudity. It's awesome.

PM me.
I used to put those up (and censored, though not always completely ), but now I change them if I'm going to do a PYD post.

Wow, I didn't know cryptic (and highly exaggerated ) nakedness would cause this much interest.

Check your PMs momentarily.
