EDIT: guys, what are the rules for non-trek fanfic? are they permitted in the fanfic forum? 'cause i was thinking of posting that spy/crime story i'm working on. Named it "Casus belli" btw.

anyway i just wanted to say that the last two weeks was a huge pain in the ass for me, didnt get much work done. sorry guys for not being as active, but RL issues go first. i'm sure you understand.

not exactly set, but i'm pretty sure i'm taking a trip to britain in two weeks. so i'll have next week to finish my ep. i dont want to set deadlines i cant keep so i'll just update as i go along.

well, the timetable just moved up a bit. I've got plenty of work on my hands right now. i've had to pretty much take over IT department in my school and just that, is a full time job. not to mention schoolwork itself plus my job at the body shop. we just got in two cop cars, top priority to have them fixed. and ive been invited to britain next week by a friend.

so truthfully i have no idea. but i'll do my best to have something by the end of the week.

thanks, its a actually a backup pic. i wanted a screenie of my character but i could't get a hold of the movie a friend of mine made. so i was stuck with the second best...
yeah, busy is an understatement. nonetheless, its life, you either live with it or don't. aint that the truth, eh?

sorry, been kinda hectic for me with work, the army (hell, its armies. plural...) and all. but i started writing again yesterday. there's only a short part i have to write then my ep will be done.

really, its been a living hell, but things are finally settling and i can wind down. it maybe late but my story will arrive. promice

Good idea, Rushbo. Hmm...shall we go the classic route and call it "Star Trek: Something"? Star Trek: Dax maybe? Or is that too obvious? I'm thinking something that calls to mind the fact that the symbiont carries Dax's memories along into the future. Perpetuity, constancy, perpetuation. Not sure, I'll have to think about it.

This probably wont make it into any official name suggestions but the codename or project name i'm using is "Project Renatus" wich is latin. Renatus means "born again" or a variation of it. i use latin names for everything. well, its a hobby of mine

anyway, my last section is coming along great. managed to settle everything with the SAF and all. even managed to get the hungarians off my back. i also have a week off now so i have time to finish my tale.

however, Rushbo there was one thing that bugged me now that i reread the thread. Have you implemented Sulira's
reassignment to the Trafalgar? meaning this:

because the ending of my ep involves Valon visiting Sulira. (Dax still doenst know about her btw. i kept that for you)
but i can easily edit it if you have already written about her coming aboard.

Yay, I can't wait. Just a suggestion, ares, maybe you could tweak your conversation so it's a video conference. Just an idea, that way you and Rush get the best of both worlds. As long as I get to write some awesome Perjon scenes sometime, I'm happy. Oh, and I'm not sure he has anything more to do with your ep, but I thought of a great actor to play Galrisan: Mike Dopud. At the moment he plays Varro on Stargate: Universe. Anyways, looking forward to reading more.

As long as I get to write some awesome Perjon scenes sometime, I'm happy. Oh, and I'm not sure he has anything more to do with your ep, but I thought of a great actor to play Galrisan: Mike Dopud. At the moment he plays Varro on Stargate: Universe. Anyways, looking forward to reading more.

i suppose, shouldn't be hard to do. but my problem with that idea is if he hasnt contacted her since, well, never... why now? they could as well speak when she comes aboard.

The way i pictured it. the battle or whatever Ezri and Julian die in. Valon and the USS Hood (his first command) intercepts the distress signal. but in the rush to save his friends he orders maximum warp (against the chief engineers recommendation) which overheats the engines and they shut down. preventing them from reaching the battle in time. so the Hood is still the first responder but they are too late to do anything about the situation. And since the CE warned him about the engines, Valon feels responsible for Ezri and Julian's deaths, which he believes he could have prevented if he had followed the CE's recommendation.

so he tries to avoid sulira because of his "guilt". thats why they didnt stay in touch. last time Valon saw her, she was an infant, only minutes old.

and no, Galrisan was a one time character for me. i really didnt give him much though, but now that you mention it, maybe we should give him a bigger role.

Dupod, hmm. he certain looks "bad guy" enough but i dont know how the orion "massiveness" could agree with him. just check the orions from Star Trek Enterprise. like threee times Dupod's size. size aside, i think he'll do well for Galrisan.

And...as to your question, ares93...as I said, I'll start hammering out my tale as soon as your storyline is laid out.

Still...I'm stuck on one thing:

Spoiler: the "backstory".

I need an idea on exactly who was fighting the Aventine. I think we have down that Julian was infiltrating the enemy ship, as a super-spy.

My current concept: perhaps it's a Breen ship...possibly a rogue crew, if we want to avoid a "war". Julian's suit cloaks his human life signs...and allows him to communicate with Ezri, without being overheard.

Still...I need some idea as to the circumstances of the attack. Is the Aventine patroling the border between the Federation and the Breen Confederacy? Or is the enemy ship conducting a strike into UFP space?

Anyway...during the attack, Sam Bowers is on the Bridge in command, and Simon is with Ezri in the Infirmary, as she's going through labor. The pounding the ship is taking is making it even more difficult for her....

Julian tries to sabotage the weapons systems of the enemy, to stop the attack--but he comes to realize it'll take far too long. Thus, his only choice is to sabotage the warp core, to destroy the ship completely--and him with it.

Just after she gives birth to Sulira, Ezri feels Julian's death. Her heart stops in that same moment...she weakly tightens her hold on her daughter, as if desperate to not leave her alone...and dies.
