The New Artist's Thread (Warning: Large Image Size)

Some pretty nice work there. I especially like the two men talking (at the bar and the close up before it); the lines are very fluid. Old Spock is cool, too.

I made this last year. One of my more successful pieces of art.

The master image has about 10 megapixels, about 40 layers, and fills several hundred megabytes in memory. It's such a big file I don't know what to do with it.

That's very nice. And huge. I think my largest project was about 80 megabytes. Yours needs its own flash drive. :rommie:

My first Photoshop composite collage project ran 800MB, and it wasn't even good enough to be worth the lag involved in opening and editing it.

Yours is very nice, Jadzia. I like the depth of field.

I doubt if my laptop could handle an 800-meg Photoshop project-- but if it could it would probably take a week to load. :rommie:

Spider-Man is okay. The eyes aren't quite right, though. My favorite from that last batch is the guy with the huge feet; the pencil lines are smooth and the face is really nice.

Ok, here's my serious stab at a more realistic looking female eye:

And here's my YouTube tutorial I've based it on:

I did a few hundred comics for a few years. I had never drawn a comic before, and my art skills were out of practice, and never too strong to begin with.
Some of them:

One for the ladies:

One for other guys:

One for my non-existant complaint box:

One for dogs:

(ALT: "And that's why my comic is better-drawn than yours.")

One for the clouds:

One for the "It's Probably Happened To You" department:

And finally, one for the "MUWHAHAHAHAHA" file:
