I do appreciate the concept ^ of the self (or internally) illuminated name and registry numbers
I still prefer the traditional "painted" and external illumination.
It just looks better (maybe more dramatic?) to me.

Although I can see it's starting to somewhat (other than for tradition sake) come off as possibly unjustifiably dated. I'm still glad despite the concept, they are sticking with it (for now ;)).

Another plaque on the shelf (original Stargazer?)

Looked like MAYBE one of those was a Cardenas class, maybe? might be the first Stargazer

Bill Krause has done a lot of TOS'ish designs over the years as well as other eras, he also does canon models, and has done commissions. Like the STO artists and Sean (the Titan designer), he's another example of Dave Blass recruiting outside for work.

He designed and 3D printed the mid 23rd Century Stargazer model, and also 3D printed the other two.

Some of his work:

Navigator?

That’s the guy at the forward console on the left if the bridge, is it not?

Can’t see if he’s Lieutenant Commander or full Commander but he’s definitely wearing three rank pips. Rather than “navigator,” my guess would be that he’s the Operations Officer, in the same role that Data held on the Enterprise-D/E.

By rank, he looks to be the next most senior officer on the bridge after Rios and the XO — and the Ops role would likely make him the Second Officer too.

Does that seem about right?

Which was first filled by a (future) TNG regular in Encounter at Farpoint by Chief Miles O'Brien and first filled by a TNG regular at the end of the same episode by LT-JG Geordi LaForge.
