During my recent first-time watch of TNG often cross-referenced episodes against memory alpha and was surprised at number of episodes where there are 'name in-jokes' on various lcars screens (Dr Who, anime series, etc). MA great source for trivia.

I know these two are hardly obscure but genuinely found surprising: Malachi Throne provided (distorted) voice for Talosians in original Cage. And Frank Langella - great actor - insisted upon being uncredited for DS9 (something about his kids being fans so did for them?)
