"The Chase": we get to see Picard's second father (probably closer to him than the first one). Plus an (in-universe) solution to an ST mystery! Why most alien races look like humans with makeup!?!

Discofan, this was my fault for putting in "The Offspring" when it was already taken out, and I have updated accordingly.

Can you edit out "Cause And Effect" from your list so the next person has the correct update?

"The Inner Light" : no other episode has a character live the life of another person to teach about a lost civilization.

Captain's Holiday is very off-format. The first 15 minutes are just trying to get Picard to take a vacation, then we wander away from the Enterprise and follow just him as he has this very atypical, kind of absurdist Picard adventure. The aliens are weird, Vash is a weird character for TNG. The whole thing is weird!

Ship in a Bottle subverts expectations in several ways: Moriarty's return, a holodeck episode, it was all a simulation, and even a playful lean onto the fourth wall.

"The Quality of Life": The questions of whether something is alive and of why it matters to determine its "inviolability" ... ( after all, microbes are alive, Tse-tse flies are alive, all sorts of vermin are alive. Should it stop us from eliminating them? ) are raised and (debatable) attempts are made to answer them. though somewhat similar to "The Measure Of A Man" it goes sufficiently farther in the subject (the machines not only don't look at all like human beings, they don't seem able to do things other than work, sort of like the Jemadar, no fun, no sex, no festive meals...) to being considered unique.

"The Masterpiece Society": A society so perfect that some people in it can't wait to get as far away from it as possible, plus a society so perfect that the departure of a handful of malcontents is enough to ensure its complete collapse! Anyway, that episode is definitely unique!

"A Fistful of Datas": A comedic holodeck goes wrong episode. Barcley puts a brothel in the program! It's a western parody with tons of parodic clichés with a twist... in the end, every holodeck character (including Worf's fiancee) turns into Data!

Data's Day has the unusual gimmicks of both narration and a compressed time setting.

"Relics": A show revolving around a recurring character from the old TOS and the fact that he finds himself out of touch with the present. Geordi's rudeness toward someone who should be a god to him is strange and inadequate. The fact that he only changes his attitude when practically ordered to do so (by Picard) is downright shocking.

"Heart of Glory"
has been taken out of the chest cavity. Not only is it the first real appearance of other Klingons since TOS, but it is the first time we see through Geordi's eyes.
