Game The Most Disliked Holodeck Episode

Once Upon a Time, because it's one of the rare Sam Wildman episodes and the holodeck stuff wasn't bad just super weird.

My last vote is saving "ALTER EGO". While not a great episode, we did get a good glimpse into the Vulcan mind, and it was a decent Tuvok episode. Plus, it started the whole Tuvok/Kim kal-toh game playing that would continue in the background until the series finale.

I think when we were doing season 6 Voyager Most Disliked, I also made the final elimination and gave the win to "Spirit Folk," on the basis that it was insane to go BACK to the Irish Village, after the first visit was so terrible. But I am now going to reverse myself, save "Spirit Folk", and give it to "Fair Haven" -- because I have subsequently become more annoyed at how ridiculous and pathetic it is that Janeway falls in love with a holodeck character! I mean, come on, that's a move for Geordi or Harry...

MOST DISLIKED HOLODECK EPISODE: "Fair Haven"!

Thanks for playing, all! Just watched "A Fistful Of Datas", inspired by this thread... that last shot of the ship riding into the sunset really IS gorgeous.

Next up, a quickie: "The Most Disliked Q Episode"

I'll admit that I also like subverting people's expectations a bit. After all, what's the point of playing a game if there would be no surprises

But that's not my reason for eliminating it. I honestly think it's one of the two or three "best" that were still left (the choice is a bit hard at this point)- certainly if you leave out of consideration it was a series' finale.

I am always a fan of an unexpected elimination, as long as it has a real reason, as yours does. I mean, I passionately love such episodes as "Sub Rosa", "Genesis", "Fascination", "Turnabout Intruder", "Basics"... I am not one to be put off by idiosyncratic taste.

Good choice! I think Spirit Folk is my personal worst VOY episode, but Fair Haven is the one that set up the premise in the first place, and was definitely very bad as well.
