Game The Most Disliked Ferengi Episode

THE OBJECTIVE: A sudden-death elimination game in which we remove our personal favorite episodes from a themed list, until we arrive at the episode that is, if not the worst, at least the most disliked.

THE RULES: Below is a list of TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT, LD, and PRO episodes featuring Ferengi.

Eliminate/save your favorite, or the one you deem the ‘best.’
Post something you love about the episode you are saving, and copy-and-paste the list with your choice removed.

You can use any standard you like to judge which option is "best." You can save episodes for being widely recognized “best Trek” classics, or for idiosyncratic qualities that no one appreciates but you.

But -- no tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode because you don’t think anyone else will, or because you feel it would threaten your preferred episode's chance to “win.”

You can take multiple turns. Leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

New players are always welcome, you do not have to already be a "most disliked game" regular to dive in.

LD Season 1: "Envoys" The exact way Mariner cheered up Boimler was a bit far-fetched (how could he believe that she'd mistake a Ferengi for a Bolian??
But the rest of the Episode was excellent! The drunk Klingon general at the end, the many fun species and situations Mariner and Boimler met and got into while looking for him (He wants Jamaharon!) The revelation that the stereotypical Ferengi was a sophisticated actor, the first appearance of Boimler's "power walk"
And the subplot that was even better than the main plot; Rutherford testing out whole new career paths so he could spend time with Tendi. That one had me lying on the floor laughing the whole time. Rutherford accidently ejecting all children onboard the ship into space in that simulation and getting a 105% death rate...only for Ransom to cheerfully suggest that they'll try again...on a bigger ship with even more children! The first instance of Shax calling Rutherford "Baby Bear", Rutherford's ineptitude in comforting patients in sickbay!
And that pre-credits sequence about the energy being!

One of the best episodes of LD Season 1!

“Bar Association” It was actually a nice little story about Rom standing up to Quark. In the end everybody won; the employees got more money, Quark could pretend he was still the iron fisted Ferengi boss, Rom got out from underneath Quark's thumb and started his new career. It was cute to see Rom and Leeta work together and begin their relationship (I always liked them as a couple)
And I suppose there was also some subplot about that Klingon guy moving onto the Defiant or something...

The only good thing I can say about "Rascals" was how they cast the children.

My next save is "BODY PARTS"

Not only did it essentially put Quark in a crisis of faith, but the final scene is quite possibly THE best representation of what the franchise is all about.

Plus, the most original way to explain an actress pregnancy without having to resort to ridiculous camera tricks.

Yeah it was undeserved, but we needed that demotion to get him away form the horrible Titan and back to the Cerritos were he belongs so that we could have more Lower Decks episodes with him and the others together.

I know, it's a plot device: he had to be on the Cerritos obviously, and had to be an ensign again because that's the show's theme. So I don't put it in quite the same category as Harry Kim, whose long ensignhood was utterly unnecessary. But still, it was a sucky thing to do to him.

[Seven of Five]

The Dogs of War sent the Ferengi out with some dignity. Rom would be the perfect Nagus for the new Ferenginar, and Quark/Ron Moore was also able to send up some dialogue from First Contact, which always makes me laugh.

It gave us the Stargazer. The Picard manoever. The croissant-shaped Ferengi battle cruiser. Daimon Bok as a really fucking weird antagonist. TNG's first "ship-vs-ship"-ruffle. And it finally completely shut the door on the Ferengi being "serious" bad guys, which allowed TNG to thrive as a "bad-guy-less" show, led to the Borg further down the line, and added the Ferengi to the "memorable guest alien" roster.

A fun take on THE GODFATHER with Quark, but my favorite part is Jake teaching Nog how to read. Ben watching him do that, and the final scene with him hugging his son, you can feel the love and pride every time those two are together.
